| | Okay its that time again where i am contemplating whether i should migrate over to blogspot. I had this debate last summer when Anh pretty much left xanga *sad face* and went over to blogspot/blogger and i had such a hard time deciding to stay or move. My ending decision was to stay (hence why im here) until now when i have a fresh list of why i should stay and why i should migrate. I'm out of school, and now i can spend more time on the design/logistical (if its sucha word) side of maintaining a blog and actually have time to do/explore crazy shit that people have on their super-nice, domain-hosted, wordpress blogs. Unlike before, one of my reasonings for wanting to stay here @ Xanga was because i didnt want to spend my time figuring out a new set of html for a new blog site (the HTML varies slightly on each blog community i.e. LiveJournal is the worst to date). But now that i do have the time, my list changes a bit.
So this calls for a Fresh List!
Xanga has really made it not fun to [ aka Pro-Blogspot ] :
- tag posts
Yeah one thing that really pisses me off about Xanga is its inability to "remember/log" tags. They have a TAGS section but what good is that if it doesnt remember it for you? I can have new tags every single post and end up with a thousand tags at the end of the year! Not good for an obsessive compulsive freak like me.

- have a personal domain/change SN
Many of you know that ive been saving up credits, and being marketing cows for various sponsors of Xanga- JUST so i can change my SN. Eventually my goal was to buy my own personal URL/domain because i am that crazy about blogging (example: www.dorkus-x.com). I was doing a little research and to my horror discovered that Xanga doesnt have that feature (yet and they dont seem like they are making any effort to do so). Yeps, that is definitely a turn-off. Now blogger on the other hand, allows that.

- unable to print posts
I've been blogging for about five years (not including asianavenue), from got_rice_angel => silent_serenity => saymuidang => dorkusX, i've recorded a lot of memories and experiences in typing. With that said now, many places allow you to upload your posts from your blog and print them out onto paper (and into a book or watever). That, is something i want to do very, very much. Livejournal allows it, wordpress, blogger, wordpad, all BUT, surprise! surprise! Xanga. !@#$$%!!
Plus many, many points.
- ads r really ugly and flashy
This is just a general perference, but the ads here are too much and there r virtually no ads over at blogger.

I apologize to my cousin who i made sign-up for Xanga and now im talking about migrating....haha im so sorry pauline. But rest assured! i will keep up with my spam comments on your blog lolll : )))) i promiseeeeeeee. Thats the same with all the other ppl i stalk on xanga. Just cuz i dont write here doesnt mean i wont stalk here. ^^
Again, people might think this is silly and i'm totally pathetic for debating this...but you know what. I honestly dont care what people think because blogging is important to me, and is part of my lifestyle. Its like telling me to give up chicken wings- ya fuk that lol That person can go screw themselves and they don't ever have to come (back) here because no one's making them read this. Hmmm sometimes i can be so bitter and bitchy.
Alright, going to start blogging over there for a couple of days before i put up the link, in case its a false alarm and i decide to stay. haha i've made it all classsy and nice over there so its "presentable" for the people who do come by occasionally and ive already have 11 (very short) posts since last August, so its not completely empty and boring.
